ForceFilm™ enables an unlimited number of transducers to be micromachined into a single thinfilm and robotically assembled in a single step.  This makes multi-dimensional and redundant force/torque sensing radically scalable and is the namesake of ForceN.

Our Unibody Dedicated Overload Protection Structure

DedicatedOverload™ adds a unique multi-dimensional protection structure that locks out when the sensing beams would be overloaded bypassing the additional force/torque around the sensing beams.  This creates uniquely robust systems that can survive multiple full-speed robotics collisions without sacrificing sensitivity - robot hi-five!

Separate Sensing & Overload

Separating the sensing and overload protection into two separate structures decouples sensing ranges/resolutions from overload protection. This breaks the traditional overload limits of 150% (metal foil) or 500% (silicon).
